FC "Kolos" is celebrating 10 years!

"Kolos" Football Club celebrates its first anniversary - 10 years! And on this day we would like to remember all our achievements and trophies.

"Kolos" won its first championship in 2012, when it won the Kyiv Region Championship. Our team finished with a 10-point lead over "Chaika" (Petropavlivska Borshchahivka). And after that "Kolos" triumphed twice more in the regional championship (in 2013 and 2014).

In 2012, Kovalivka made a golden double - in the match for the Super Cup of Kyiv region "Kolos" defeated Vyshgorod "Dinaz" with a score of 2:0 and won its first cup trophy. Vasyl Koropetskyi and Yevhen Yevsieiev scored goals in that historic match.

In 2013, "Kolos" defeated its uncompromising rival "Chaika»  from Petropavlivska Borshchahivka 1-0 in a match for the Kyiv Region Super Cup thanks to a goal by Ihor Rudyuk, and in 2014 it won a 2-1 victory over FC "Bucha»  thanks to Yaroslav's accurate shots. Vyshniak and Vasyl Koropetskyi. Thus, "Kolos" set a record for Kyiv region, as none of the teams won the Super Cup trophy three times in a row.

But the cup of the Kyiv region "Kolos" won only on the third attempt. This is the only regional trophy that was previously unattainable for Kovalivka's team. In the final match, which took place on August 23, 2014, "Kolos" thanks to the goal of Oleksandr Bondarenko defeated FC "Bucha" 1:0.

The following year, 2015, "Kolos" finally won the trophy at the prestigious winter tournament - the Oleh Makarov Memorial. After making their debut in 2013 (when "Kolos" did not leave the group) and a successful second season in 2014, when Kovalivka's team left the tournament in the quarterfinals, "Kolos" won its first cup in the tournament in memory of the legendary goalkeeper of "Dynamo" Kyiv. . In 2017 and 2018, the team from Kovalivka repeated its success twice.

Seeing that the team has great potential, club president Andrii Zasukha decided to step up. In June 2015, FC "Kolos" received the status of a "professional" club and a certificate of participation in the Championship of Ukraine among the teams of the Second League of the 2015/16 season.

In his debut season, "Kolos", led by Ruslan Kostyshyn, won an early championship and the right to play in the First League. It should be noted that the PFL of Ukraine recognized Ruslan Kostyshyn as the coach of the year, and the best scorer of the championship Oleksandr Bondarenko - the player of the season.

In total, Kovalivka's team spent three seasons in the First League, fulfilling their dream of joining the UPL in the 2018/19 season. However, in order to get to the Ukrainian Premier League, "Kolos" had to play two head-to-head matches against Odesa's "Chornomorets". The first game took place in Odessa on June 4 and ended with a score of 0:0. And the return game took place in Kovalivka on June 8. Our team won with a score of 2:0, and both goals were scored by captain Vitalii Havrysh.

In the UPL, the highest achievement of the Kovalivka's team was 4th place last season 2020/2021. In addition, "Kolos" entered the history of Ukrainian football, winning a ticket to the European Cups in its debut season of the country's top football division (2019/2020). Our guys twice fought for the right to represent Ukraine in European Cups - first in the Europa League and then in the Conference League.

This is our glorious history for these ten years. But we are sure - it's just beginning! There are still many new challenges, adventures, tournaments and victories ahead.
