Head coach - Oleksandr Pozdieiev
Our youth team played its second control match at the Turkish training camp with a representative of the second Romanian division. The game turned out to be very interesting and combative. Our guys were not inferior to the adult players of the opponent in any way. The only thing that failed "Kolos" U-19 today is a game in defense by other people's standards. All three goals were scored by the opponent after a corner kick and all three were scored with headers.
Our team responded with a great goal by Yevhen Danyliuk, who dealt with his opponent in the penalty area and scored in the near corner. And Vladyslav Kanaev effectively completed the canopy from the penalty spot, sending the ball into the opponent's goal in one shot.
Oleksandr Pozdieiev's team will play the next sparring match on February 12 against their peers from the Turkish team "Alanyaspor".
After the match, the head coach of "Kolos" U-19 Oleksandr Pozdieiev shared his impressions.
- What are your general impressions of the second sparring match in Turkey and are there any changes in the boys' game compared to the first game?
- Yes, there are changes. We built our attack better and, it seemed to me, it was better to go to the other half of the field. However, all this still needs to be reviewed in more detail. But there were good attacks from our side, and the guys acted great in the attack with episodes.
- How much does such a strong wind make significant adjustments to the game plan?
- Yes, the wind is very strong, it is difficult to play. But we didn't make adjustments because of the wind, we tried to do what we train, what we want to see. The wind is usually an obstacle, but not an excuse to completely rebuild on "something else".
- What about Jose Martin and will he play at this meeting?
- Unfortunately, Martin was injured in training, which will not allow him to play in this training camp. We lack him and we hope that he will return to training as soon as possible.
- What is the difference between sparring with peers and adult teams and which are more useful?
- Adult teams are more experienced and tend to make fewer simple mistakes. But not always adults, it's better than young people. Here is the question of execution, organization of the game. Plus from sparring with an adult team, it's martial arts, for us it's good that the guys can "hang out" with the uncles.
- A few words about the guys from the academy, how do they behave?
- They try, there are no claims to them. For them, it is a great experience and an opportunity to progress.
