Yaroslav Vyshniak started playing football for the "Refrigerator" team (Fastiv). He later continued to play at the youth level in "CSKA" Kyiv. He graduated from the children's and youth school "Dynamo" (Kyiv).
He made his professional football debut on April 9, 2000 for Kirovohrad's "Zirka-2" in a home match against Kherson. From the 2000/01 season he played for the main team of "Zirka", including in the top league in the season of the 2003/04 season. After the bankruptcy of the team, he moved to "Metalurh" Zaporizhya, where he spent only one season and became one of the team's main players. For the next year and a half, Vyshnyak played for Luhansk's "Zorya". However, in September 2006, he expressed a desire to leave the club. In January 2007, he was inspected in Mariupol's "Illichivka", but did not approach the team.
Over the next three years (2007-2009) Vyshnyak played in five different clubs: first-league IFC "Nikolaev" in the spring of 2007, then returned to the top league, playing for "Zakarpattia". Throughout 2008 he played in the first league as part of "Obolon", but the club's management decided not to renew his contract, and in the spring of 2009 Yaroslav Vyshnyak played for Lutsk "Volyn".
In July 2009 he moved to Ternopil "Niva" and became captain of the team. But he also played for "Niva" for a short time: in September he was announced from the team.
After "Niva" he played for the team "Inter" from Furs, Bila Tserkva district. From 2010 he played for FC "Putrivka", which played in the championship of the Kyiv region and the AAFU Cup, and since 2014 he defended the colors of Kovalivka's "Kolos". In 2018, he finished his playing career and became an assistant head coach at "Kolos".
